After being linked to a website who’s main motive pretty much is find occult meanings and illuminati symbolism behind all the music, videos, and movies we all know and love today (those are a bunch of clickable links I want you to check out for all my slow people), and discussing it with a few friends, I decided to sort my thoughts out in a blog. Most of the articles just prove that people read way too much into things/symbols, especially if it benefits their argument and some of them *coughJay-Zcough* seem to just purposely throw shit in their videos, fashion and logos for the sake of attention and controversy. However, these four posts on Gaga (also clickable) managed to raise an eyebrow simply because in true Gaga fashion, the symbols are just blatantly obvious and being Stefani’s biggest fan EVER, I feel compelled to play captain save-a-ho and defend her.

First and foremost, the idea that these celebrities are pushing subliminal messages in our face is null and void because… well before you pointed it out, who’s going to connect being satanic with goats? I certainly wouldn’t have. A subliminal message is like.. if you keep seeing golden arches and you suddenly want McDonalds. Is ‘Bad Romance’ about obtaining fame by any means necessary? Duh captain obvious; that’s Lady Gaga’s entire image! And because of her “get famous or die trying” attitude and willingness to sacrifice whatever to get that glory, it doesn’t surprise me that Lady Gaga puts indirect representation of selling your soul to the devil in her videos. I mean, because… isn’t that what most people in the industry are doing? Majority of the most famous a. nd most successful people in the world sold themselves to get where they are. I can’t deny that she’s using satanic symbols in her art, but that’s because it’s ART and they’re just symbols. What’s a symbol to someone who doesn’t believe in it? Nothing. I don’t think Lady Gaga is a part of the illuminati or a freemason, I think she’s just promoting the idea of secret societies.

And what’s so bad about being a freemason anyway? I know some and they seem to be great men. Is it because they’ve maintained such a level of secrecy for so long that it’s easy to speculate and draw up your own c. onclusion? To call them devil worshippers is just ignorant. There’s no link between freemasons and the illuminati and I highly doubt the illuminati still exists. Nonetheless, after Lady Gaga’s amazing performance at the AMAs last night and her blatant usage of horns, claws, fire & emphasis of the spine, I just can’t wait to see how vigilant citizen breaks that one down because conspiracy theorists crack me up !

never seen a Lady Gaga video or heard the music. But even if she did try to push some type of cult/devilworship on people it seems rather inconsequential. My other main complaint would be that they’re assuming that there is a devil (i know some people use the word ‘devil’ as symbolic, but still), so right off the bat they lost me. and I tend to put them in the ‘ignore’ category.

This is crazy! I just had some emails sent to me about Beyonce and JayZ and the connections to Illuminati. I think some people are so intent on proving things, they start distorting the facts to support what they believe is true. My father is a Mason and believe me he doesn’t worship the devil, matter of fact my entire family is Christian! There are people who do believe in the Devil and occult and things of that nature, but it seems like they are trying to say EVERYONE in the music industry worships the devil. I just don’t know if I can believe that EVERY single person in the industry is purely evil.

With all of that being said, and reading it …

It sounds like people don’t WANT to believe it, so of course they’ll dismiss it as just whatever.

But if you think there isn’t a bunch of stuff going on behind the scenes, not just in the music industry, but the world, you’re really mistaken. Ignorance is bliss, true that, but I’d rather be informed.

And about “what’s a symbol to someone who doesn’t believe in it?” I can say, “I don’t believe in gravity,” but that doesn’t mean it still isn’t there.

i gotta agree with JF. I mean, people who are agnostic or atheist will dismiss occult symbology and spiritual connections. That’s probably because spirituality is not their bag, and they’re most likely the “rational” type that needs proof to believe in anything.

I am, on the other hand, a skeptical christian, so I try to see things from both viewpoints, if only to learn more about everything. I cant help but SEE all of the connections… Jay-Z, Beyonce, Gaga, Rihanna… all extremely influential and promoting veiled, (innocent) evil constantly. Jay calls himself God already, I mean, c’mon, how much more anti-christ can you get? All of them have hidden meanings in their songs, (Lady Gaga makes NO sense otherwise) and their videos are CLEARLY influenced by illuminati symbolism, especially Rihanna and Gaga.

Everyone can believe what they want. Thats fine with me. Just pay attention. S’all I’m sayin.

JF – who says I don’t think there’s stuff going on behind the scenes? I SAID Gaga is promoting the idea of secret societies. I know FIRST HAND freemasons exist. But I also know there is nothing wrong with being a freemason. The illuminati? Eh. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t exist. But whatevs. And the ‘what’s a symbol to someone who doesn’t believe in it’ derives from people like yourself who think these things are subliminally brainwashing us. When really, they’re not. And that condescending ‘ignorance is bliss’ statement was just that, condescending. Clearly, I’d rather be informed or this entire entry wouldn’t exist, no?

@simseezy, that Agnostic comment was just a low blow. And just because I’m skeptical about religion does mean I’m not spiritual.

Also, I’m well aware that the videos are ‘CLEARLY influenced by illuminati symbolism’, in fact…I’m pretty sure I said it was blatantly obvious. My thing is, who cares when the illumiati doesn’t exist anymore? it is art now.

^ agree with ‘it is art now’

the fact is, if you really believe in this devil/occult symbology you should probably be supporting these artists that are exploiting it.

Imagine if this stuff becomes (is becoming i think?) trendy. It will lose meaning and will only remain as a sort of accessory/parody, it would be like a Che shirt of Che wearing a Che shirt.
